Site No.87 Kousyouin

Within the precincts of the temple is the “Toyogahashi Bridge,” which originates from the legend that Kukai spent the night under the bridge. The second chief priest, deeply moved during his pilgrimage to Shikoku, recreated a bridge on the temple grounds and enshrined a statue of Kukai underneath.
