With its tanuki statues lining the temple grounds, Sanno-ji Temple is affectionately known as “Tanuki-dera.”
Every year from May to early October, the “Wind Bell Festival” is held with approximately 4,000 colorful wind bells on display, producing beautiful sounds and a spectacular sight.
