Sasaguri, where Kukai Kobo Daishi practiced asceticism and prayed for the salvation of people in the inner shrine of Mt. Wakasugi, is a sacred place where the culture of the Shingon sect and esoteric Buddhism live on. We have developed a meal platter with a motif of an esoteric Buddhist mandala in order to convey to our customers the history and culture of this region along with our prayers for their peace of mind. A large bowl in the center is surrounded by eight smaller bowls, each filled with healthy medicinal herbs and a variety of seasonal ingredients. Each dish has been diligently and carefully prepared.
